Our Sustainability Strategy

We are committed to protecting our environment, driving change, and investing in people across all our hotels. To live these values to the fullest, we have developed a comprehensive long-term sustainability strategy. Our strategy is built upon three main pillars: Environment, Social, and Governance (ESG). Each pillar includes a set of actions and achievable targets, defined as Protecting Our Planet, Investing in People, and Driving Change.

Protecting Our Planet

Minimising our negative impacts on the environment, focusing on: • Resource management • Pollution prevention • Responsible procurement and supply chain management • Biodiversity protection and restoration • Responsible waste management

Investing in People

Creating a positive, inclusive culture for staff, suppliers, guests, and local communities, focusing on: • Equitable and fair treatment of all stakeholders • Staff development • Promotion of sustainibility frameworks among all our stakeholders • Fostering sustainability in local communities, while promoting and preserving local culture and heritage

Driving Change

Becoming a sustainability leader within the hospitality industry, focusing on: • Setting a strategic ESG approach • Regularly reviewing and reporting on ESG performance to our stakeholders • Embedding sustainability within our business operations • Aligning our ESG strategy with globally recognised sustainability frameworks

Our Key Activities

We embrace the shared language, goals, and targets set out in the globally recognized United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). We have selected SDGs that resonate most with our current operations and have used these to inspire the sustainability targets outlined in our strategy.

SDG 4: Quality Education & SDG 3: Good Health and Wellbeing

We prioritize the health and well-being of our employees while emphasizing quality education and gender equality. Our goals include promoting mental health and well-being, as well as providing vocational education and equal learning opportunities for all.

SDG 8: Decent Work & Economic Growth

We focus on providing decent work, with a strong commitment to employing people with special needs and from underprivileged backgrounds. We aim to sustain economic growth in line with national circumstances, boost productivity through diversification, innovation, and technological upgrades, and promote policies that support job creation, productivity, creativity, and entrepreneurship.

SDG 12: Responsible Consumption and Production

We aim to enhance responsible consumption and production throughout our supply chain by developing and implementing policies for sustainable consumption and production, efficiently managing natural resources, and ensuring environmentally responsible management of waste and chemicals to minimize their impact on both the environment and people's health.

SDG 13: Climate Action

We embrace a comprehensive approach to climate action by addressing various environmental issues, focusing on integrating climate change measures into our policies and planning, enhancing awareness and education on climate change, and improving our capacity to mitigate, adapt to, and reduce the impacts of climate change.
