New Year’s Eve 2025 – Travel & Parking Information

Due to Manchester City Council’s New Year’s Eve celebrations in St Peter’s Square, directly opposite The Midland Hotel, road closures and parking suspensions will be in place around the hotel.

City centre closures apply from 1:00pm on Wednesday 31 December 2025 until 2:00am on Thursday 1 January 2026, with restricted vehicle access to the hotel during this time.

Peter Street will close from 7:30pm–2:00am, and Lower Mosley Street from 9:00pm–2:00am on 31 December.

Accessible parking bays on Peter Street will be suspended from 8:00am on Sunday 28 December 2025 until Friday 2 January 2026.

Guests travelling by car are advised to allow extra time and use alternative car parks where possible. Metrolink services will not operate through St Peter’s Square from 8:00pm on 31 December until the start of service on 1 January.

The hotel will operate on a Residents Only basis from 8:00pm on 31 December 2025.
