Great service

Very nice surroundings and view at the restaurant with lake, fountain and swans. Breakfast was good, but coffee was moderate quality. I didn't understand why my credit card was charged and then refunded after check-out. The money had already been paid through booking.com several months before arrival. The reception staff didn't explain this to me. Unfortunately, on the day of arrival, Sunday evening, the restaurant was closed, we were left hungry. There was water in the room, which was a big help. poor sound insulation between the room walls and from the outside.

I have stayed at thiis hotel a number of times and have not been disappointed. Great location.

The receptionists and the entire hotel staff are extremely friendly. Everyone are true professionalists in their job - managers, receptionists, waiters and house keepers. A huge thanks to all of them. Because of the staff, I stay only at this hotel when I come to Cologne. The location of the hotel is also perfect. The park and the neighborhood are wonderful as well !

I stayed here on business. The hotel is adjacent to a beautiful park and close to a supermarket, so the location was excellent. Please note, however, that it takes about 15–20 minutes by car from Cologne Central Station. From both the room and the breakfast area, I could enjoy views of the park’s pond and the lovely wild geese. An early morning walk there was very relaxing—it felt almost like a high-class summer resort in Japan. Breakfast was delicious, and I especially enjoyed the bread. Personally, I would have liked to try sauerkraut as well. It would also have been nice to have still water provided in the room. Although I came for business, I was pleasantly surprised at how wonderful the hotel was, exceeding my expectations. The staff were friendly and courteous. One of them mentioned that “a winter stay here is also beautiful,” which made me want to come back again someday. Since I came from Japan, it’s not so easy to visit frequently, but I truly think this is a hotel I can recommend to other Japanese guests as well. Thank you very much for the memorable stay.

Beds are very comfortable. I enjoyed the ambiance and the park behind the hotel just adds to the experience. Cozy, easy, and comfortable all around.

Just wanted to quickly show my thanks and appreciation to the entire Team at the Leoanardo Royal Stadtwald. They really went the extra mile during our stay. Always friendly and responsive. From The Front Desk, to the Bar and Restaurant, Breakfast Staff and the Cleaning/Housekeeping Team. The hotel was absolutely spotless, the amentities great, tea/coffee in the room, comfortable beds, great bathrooms, great toiletries. Great View of the Park. I have rarely had such a good stay in an Hotel. Please Pass on my thanks to all there. I will definitely stay again and recommend the Leonardo chain to my friends/family. Amazing The only bad points. And I really had to think for these. The Bar in the hotel was not open in the evenings, I used the vending machine at night for snacks drinks (I was working late in the evenings whilst vacationing) It would have been nice to use the laptop in the bar and work/socialise at the same time. The Wifi was a little patchy and did not deliver great speed. Probably an upgrade or reconfiguration of the Access Points would fix this. But that is me being VERY picky. I cannot really complain about anything. Thanks again and I look forward to my next stay with Leonardo. My new Favourite Chain, over Hyatt and Marriot.

Our room was super comfortable and quite large and spacious. The bartender was supercomdating the restaurant was pretty good for the price point. Only reason i'm giving it a four is I was given a parking card for the two days, assumed as it was not mentioned at check-in that it was, free, to ensure only guest used the lot. Then I found out when I went to check out, was being charged 20 euros a day. Was not included in the room. Pro tip park on the street is free.

I was able to spend warm days at the hotel located in a quiet and peaceful neighborhood. The staff were always friendly and cheerful, and the quality of the dinner restaurant, including breakfast, was excellent. The only regret was that the bathroom and shower booth were not properly maintained, giving the impression of being old.

Hi had a very nice experience at this hotel .THe staff where all.good .10/10 .for everything. Alot of choice for breakfast. Peaceful .parking available. Good location. Will come again

I had low expectations for the hotel as we booked it last minute to visit the Christmas markets and it was fairly cheap. But I was pleasantly surprised by everything to be honest. Fab glühwein upon arrival, clean room, all amenities available, close (walkable ) to the markets, very friendly staff and the Christmas themed slippers were a very nice touch!! 10/10

Great location for running. Good rooms and breakfast.

Room with lake view was marvelous. Staff very friendly. Generally very quiet, but still well connected (tram stop nearby) location. The only drawback: room doors are old, shut with loud bangs.

We enjoyed our stay. The staff were helpful and the location is good. My only criticism is that the hotel was very well heated - a bit too well heated for our taste! And the weather was dreadful but the hotel couldn’t do anything about that.
