The Leonardo Hotel in Bucharest is a nice place, but nothing more than that. It’s a good spot to put your head down and sleep — essentially a “sleeping hotel.” Is it a boutique hotel? No. Is it a luxury hotel? Not at all. For the current prices, it’s perfectly fine. I chose it for a trip where I planned to be out most of the day, and for that purpose it works well. I didn’t even take the breakfast option — it’s simply the kind of place you use as a base, not as part of the vacation experience. Would I choose this hotel for a romantic getaway? No. Would I choose it again for a practical city trip with day tours? Yes. Overall: clean, functional, reasonable — a hotel for sleeping, not for atmosphere

It is a hotel with nice and kind people. It is clean, the food is very good, and the atmosphere is pleasant. I recommend it with pleasure.

I spent four nights at the Leonardo Hotel Bucharest City Center and left genuinely impressed. From the moment I arrived, the staff went above and beyond in the most heartwarming way. The front-desk team greeted me with real warmth, helped with an early check-in without hesitation, arranged a quiet room on a high floor exactly as I’d requested, and even surprised me with a complimentary room upgrade when one became available. The concierge was a gem – recommending hidden-gem restaurants, booking taxis, and giving spot-on directions with a smile every single time. Housekeeping was equally fantastic; my room was spotless every day and they happily accommodated my request for extra pillows and a later towel refresh. In short, the service felt personal, proactive, and genuinely caring – easily some of the best I’ve experienced in Europe. The room itself was modern, spacious, and very comfortable: excellent bed, powerful shower, fast Wi-Fi, and a nice view over the city. Location-wise it’s hard to beat – a short walk to the Old Town, plenty of cafés and restaurants nearby, and just far enough from the busiest streets to feel peaceful at night. My only (very small) disappointment was that, at the rate I paid (which felt on the premium side for Bucharest), I had assumed breakfast was included. It isn’t – it’s an extra €11 – and while the breakfast itself is genuinely excellent (fresh pastries, great coffee, lots of hot and cold choices), clearer wording at booking would have saved the slight surprise. Overall, Leonardo Hotel Bucharest delivers outstanding service and comfort that far outweighs that one tiny hiccup. If you’re happy to add the very reasonable €11 breakfast or you find a rate that bundles it, this place is an absolute winner. The staff alone made the stay memorable, and I’d happily return next time I’m in town. Highly recommended – 4.7/5 stars (basically a 5, just docking a smidge for my own wrong assumption about breakfast!

We were welcomed by a Receptionist who spoke good English. He was able to arrange a takeaway breakfast for the following morning as we were going out very early. This hotel is in the centre of Bucharest so everywhere is in walking distance.

One day after changing towels we got 4 small towels, so I called reception in order to ask for 2 big ones for showering, and the answer was that no big towels left and only next day morning will be again. Other than those, amazing front desk employees, very kind, nice and with desire to help! The hotel’s structure is very welcoming and intimate, additionally to the cleanliness and the new & modern look. We enjoyed!

Very well located hotel, right in the center of Bucarest. Mario did our check in and he was very attentive, professional and friendly! The hotel room was spacious and had everything we needed. The only inconvenience was that the room was a little bit dusty when we arrived and I’m allergic to it, but besides that everything was great. Bar staff were friendly and very attentive as well. Overall a great experience.
