GRUB’s Fizzy Quizzy

Fancy taking part in a quiz this summer? Head to GRUB at the Red Bank Project and prepare for a bit of friendly competition. GRUB’s Fizzy Quizzy six-round quiz takes place on the fourth Wednesday of every month and features fun rounds such as obscure current affairs and satirical animal art. With lots of fizzy prizes up for grabs, this event is not to be missed.

Festa Italiana

When: 26th to 28th August 2022

Where: Cathedral Gardens, Corporation Street

 

Searching for festivals in Manchester? If you’re a fan of Italian food, make sure to visit Festa Italiana this summer. Taking place in Cathedral Gardens in Manchester City Centre, this is a vibrant weekend-long festival celebrating Italian food, drink and culture.

 

Festa Italiana is inspired by Manchester’s Italian heritage and centres around the community coming together to socialise and enjoy delicious food. The 2021 festival saw 40,000 people head to the city centre to participate, and this year’s festival is expected to be just as popular. Attend expert cooking demonstrations and sample tasty Italian cuisine from local restaurants.

Manchester Pride Festival

When: 26th to 29th August 2022

Where: Manchester City Centre

 

This summer, join in the fun at the annual Manchester Pride Festival. This event is a celebration of the LGBTIQA+ community and takes place across the full August bank holiday weekend in Manchester City Centre.

 

The festival involves a range of different events. The Manchester Pride Parade will take place on the 27th of August, where people come together in the city to march for peace.

Gin and Rum Festival 

When: 9th to 10th September 2022

Time: 18:30 – 23:00

Where: Manchester Cathedral, Victoria Street

 

The UK’s largest touring Gin and Rum Festival is coming to Manchester this September – don’t miss out! Whether you want to learn more about these beverages or just enjoy a few drinks with friends, this festival promises plenty of fun. Discover new-favourite drinks at the themed Gin and Rum bars, enjoy drinks samples from guest distillers and dance the night away to music from the live DJ.

Vegan Sushi Workshop at GRUB

George Ezra

When: 16th and 17th September 2022

Where: AO Arena, Victoria Station Approach, Hunts Bank

 

Come and see George Ezra perform live at the AO Arena this September. A folk-rock singer-songwriter from Bristol, Ezra rose to fame after the release of his 2014 debut album, ‘Wanted On Voyage’, which featured hit songs such as ‘Budapest’ and ‘Blame It On Me’.
